In this video see how to make a simple, yet AWESOME Hot Wheels Car launcher. The only thing required for this build is PVC Pipe, a couple fittings, compressed air and some cars to launch.
Here’s what we used:
1 x 10′ stick of 3″ PVC (can be the type that isn’t rated for pressure – cheaper)
1 x Length of 2 ” PVC (length isn’t too important, though longer = more speed)
1 x Length of 1-1/2″ PVC (again, length isn’t too important, though longer = more speed)
1 x 90° 3″ PVC Elbow
1 x 3″ x 2″ PVC Reducer
As many Hot Wheels Cars as you care to launch
Compressed air:
We have a pancake compressor and we use it a lot more than we thought we would. We have a large air compressor in our shed that we use a lot and we would take our projects outside when the need arose. Since purchasing a pancake compressor that we have installed in our basement workshop we have seriously increased the amount of things that we use compressed air for. Here’s a link to a great compressor:
And here’s a link to an air gun:
***If you don’t have access to an air compressor, and still want to try this project, while not shown, a can of compressed air for cleaning electronics should work as well!
