Mountain Bookends

In this video we are going to show you how to make mountain book-ends.  These are great looking bookends that have a place on any rustic bookshelf.  These book-ends are really easy to make and require minimal materials.  We chose to leave the base of the mountains natural and to “whitecap” the mountains with white and blue paint, but this can easily be customized to fit your needs!

Materials List:

1 – 3/8″ x 4′ dowel

1 – 1″ x 12″ x 4′ edge glued pine (we used leftover boards for ours, but this is what you would need if you don’t have any laying around)

Acrylic paint (we used white and sky blue)

***If you want to check out the scroll saw that I used and talked about in the video you can click on the link below. We bought this scroll saw for one of our projects a few months ago, and we are surprised how much more we use it than we thought we would.  We definitely prefer to use a scroll saw over a jig saw whenever possible now!***
